Brodie Bikes is sponsoring Miranda Huron with the 2009 Brodie Elan  touring bike she's using in the Tour d’Afrique.
Miranda  is competing in this grueling tour of Africa on one of the first pre production Elans. The Tour d”Afrique starts in Cairo, Egypt passing through 10 countries and finishing 120 days later in Capetown, South Africa after 11,800 km’s.
The mandate of the Tour d’Afrique is threefold: First, to create a unique athletic event for both amateurs and professionals; second, to foster international goodwill; and third, raise funds for environmental protection and promote bicycles use in Africa.

She is a professional writer and linquist, so her stories from Africa make you feel like you’re there as well, without painful days in the saddle, or the rocks being flung at you. Her Brodie Elan arrived only one day before she left Vancouver, so she had no time to get accustomed to her ride, but she’s taken to it and loves it (when she isn’t hating the sight of it!).
